I need to replace the steering column for a 95 Protege and noticed that there are 4 types. (VIN A up to 161767, VIN A after 161767, VIN G tilt, VIN G fixed). Are they for different trim levels or something? 96-98 there are only two types (with and without airbag). I don't care which one I get as long as it bolts in. Is there anything that would stop me from using any 95-98 steering column or do I have to use the one that matches my car?
