Default Spring/ coilover recommendations

Hi all, my first post in this forum.
I own a 2000 protege es 1.8l 5 spd. About 3 months ago I decided to pull the trigger on what I thought were quality coilovers. Long story short they were not. Even with dampening adjustment it did not help much because the spring rate was far too high. They started to fall apart and the seal on one of the rears blew.

I decided to order a set of monroe oem replacements and I can say I do appreciate the ride much more, but i dont would like to get rid of some of the wheel gap, slightly lower about 1-1.5 inches.

I am curious about a different spring set up such as the Eibach Pro-Kit. If anyone has expirence or recommendations on a set of quality springs that will give it a more sporty look let me know.

or should I save up for a nice set of coilovers from a reputable company, also let me know recommendations.

Welcome to the forum.

I will reserve for now a response.
I will suggest that you do research about coil over conversions As well your thoughts to lower your vehicle that much. In general you really need to learn about suspension performance upgrades.
