hello i have a 1998 mazda protege i just buy new spark plug wires set and the plug for the spark plug is too long it will not seal on the valve cover they are bosch 09241.

i wanted to know if there is different valve cover model that need dif. wire set ??? any advice or part numbe will be apreciated !!

 

There are two motors in the gen 2 protege. 1.5l and 1.8l You probably have a set for the wrong motor.

 

The bosch part number for a 1.5l is 09421 1.8l is 09134

 

I 100% positive my engine is a Z5 Not a BP you cant miss those intake runner!

wire i have are 09241 but it need a good 1 more inch to seal properly...

wrong cable in the box ??

different Z5 engine swaped in it??
