Exclamation Shuttering problem under acceleration.

I have a 2003 Mazda protégé ES. I have been working on fixing the car up. The previous did not take very good care of the it, When I bought it needed new struts, rims, tires, Wheel bearings, Brake rotors, and new rear calipers.

Now that I have all the parts replaced I am getting a shutter when accelerating, But it is only when I try to accelerate hard. Under normal driving conditions that does not shutter. Oh and by the way it is a five speed manual transmission. I do not think it is the clutch just for the fact that I have put it in fifth gear revved the motor up and dumped the clutch at a high RPM and it does not slip or chatter. What else could it be? I was thinking it could be CV shafts possibly. If anybody has information or has had this happen to them please let me know what you did to fix the problem. Any other information is needed please let me know I will be more than happy to tell you.

Have you pulled the plugs to inspect them to see if they need to be replaced? Could be an ignition miss your feeling.

.....and, of course, the air intake hose may have cracks. When you accelerate hard the engine tilts a bit more and tugs on the air intake hose. This may open cracks and momentarily lean out the mixture. That leads to misfiring and sputtering.

i have replaced the spark plugs about a week ago,but still need to check the intake. But i really do not think it is gong to be it but i hope it is. Is there anyway that it could be a bad motor mount. I will check the intake in the am.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Did you also replace the ignition wires and check the coil pack?

Your car is now 9 years old. Therefore rubber parts are among the "usual suspects" to be rounded up.

Cosign on the wires. Sounds like a misfire. I had the same symptoms with my S10 and the wires looked fine but there was a small crack in the rubber boot that snaps to the plug. At night I could see fire jumping to the engine block.
