Default Short ram intake help

I was think about getting a short ram intake for my 1997 mazda protege lx (1.5l dohc) but i can't seem to find one for a 1.5 only 1.8. Will a 1.8 be able to fit on a 1.5? What do i do with the plugs that go into the air filter, becuase if i dont have those in my car stalls out. Is it even worth getting?

Thanks for the help

the 1.8 intake won't fit and it is really hard to find one for the 1.5. we have had quite a few members with the same problem on here. if you get the right intake, the IAT and MAF will bolt up with no mods. some of them won't come with a space for the IAT, but you can strap it up to the side of the filter.
