So again, I have a 2000 Mazda Protege. Bought it and the radio doesn't work. Eventually I want to pull it out and install a working one but I saw that you need a special U shaped tool to remove it. Can I use screwdrivers to press the clips in and remove it? I ask because searching only pulls up solutions using the tool.
