Rear Brake question
Hey guys. New to the forum. I am having a bit of an issue with the rear brakes on my 03 protege5.
First I thought the caliper was locked up, turns out they don't work like other actuators I've dealt with. I got that figured out. Now it seems as though my caliper pin that goes into the bracket is semi-seized. It rotates about a 1/3rd of the way I would expect it to, and I can't get the caliper off of the bracket.
It's the bottom pin that's stuck, the one that is solid in the back. Is there a trick to pulling the caliper off the bracket. It feels like a hard stop which makes me think there's a trick.
I have pulled off the caliper bracket so it's not something like the brake line I'm pulling against. I have also pulled the parking brake clip to give myself more room.
If it is seized any smart ways of getting it off?
