Protege5 2.0 hatchback

My 03 mazda protege5 2.0l 5speed does not do anything in any gear except 3rd. Will drive in 3rd gear but no other gear. What is the problem? Do I need a new transmission.?

Its not looking good. A replacement secondhand gearbox is looking likely.

Altho, check that all the selector cables/linkages are intact.
