Default protege front brake pad spring question... help

Hello folks,

Newbie here. Lottsa good info here. I have searched but could not find an answer...

I am replacing the pads on my 03 protege. The spring clips are giving me fits.

How do you replace the pads and attach the clips?

Clips on first and pads then attach clips??? or

pads on first and attache clips?????

I tried pads on first with no luck... I am tired and frustrated at this point.

Any insight is appreciated.

thanx,

David

Copierman,

I'm sorry I took up your precious time with my silly question. If you will take the time to read the post... you will see that know WHAT needs to be done... it is a matter of HOW... from someone who has done this before.

I guess there is one in every crowd.

Here is a link to step-by-step instructions on another Mazda forum.

Can't guarantee accuracy, as I've never done Protege brakes, but it sounds reasonable.

Good luck!
