Front brake pad replacement & mileage

RE: Front brake pad replacement & mileage
29500 and no problems yet! Knock on wood. Would you guys change the pads yourself or have a mazda dealership do it? I just did my girlsfriends pads and rotors on her civic and it took me a few hours (first time) but I saved over 300 dollars and I even bought nicer rotors, pads, and a new toolbox since I didn't have the tools at my school...What does everything think about doing the brake work yourself on the M6?

i'm a big fan of learning new things about my car... i would replace the rotors and brakes myself (but with assistance for the first time to make sure i do things correctly).
when i replace my brakes, i am going to go with Hawk Pads for less brake dust and slotted/cross-drilled rotors to disspate some of that heat). it's smart to save money by doing it yourself, but some people don't car and spend the money to get others to do it.

Yea, I just tried it on my girlfriends car the first time, I do mechanical engineering at school and this is my 4th year, Ill be here for 5, lol...But I am mechanically inclined so it was rather easy. Ill just make sure to get a rotor puller next time, those were a bitch to get off! I also have the cd for the mazda 6 which I got off of ebay and it is what the dealerships use to do repairs so it give a detailed description on how to do it and what tools to use!
