power steering front seal

Default power steering front seal

Searched everywhere and cant find anything on this,I keep having leaking seals on my power steering pump (02 protege 2.0) 2 rebuild kits and 2 new pumps,everything is in line,not over tightened belts,dextron fluid any body have any ideas?Thanks

The old seal likely cut a groove in the shaft. A new seal will not seal if so. It takes a long time but rubber will cut steel.
