Please Help Diagnosing This 2002 LX 2.0 Auto
Hey Folks,
Working on a friend's 2002 Protege LX 2.0 Auto (F4A-EL). I replaced the transmission on this car and now it wont stay running. It will crank and fire and if I apply throttle or hold the throttle body open, it will stay running but as soon as you release the throttle she dies. It has no OBD codes, all connectors are connected, as are all vacuum lines.
PCV valve is functional, EGR valves tests out to spec. MAF reading on the live data shows within parameters, so not the MAF, and the TB position sensor seems to be providing correct data as well.
I have double and triple checked everything and everything is connected and no obvious leaks. I am going to go over my work and spray down all the connectors with electrical connection cleaner.
But any other suggestions? I was initially thinking a fuel issue - but the car drove into the gararage.
