Only shifts when battery light is ON

Only shifts when battery light is ON
Hello, I'm looking for some help with my 2000 Mazda Protege 1.6L
When i am driving and the battery light is NOT on the trans will be stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear, however when the battery light is ON, the trans will shift normal 1st through 3rd.
I have absolutely no other issues with the car, Battery is good alt is good, belts are good, NOTHING has been done to try to fix this issue yet! lol
anyway, thanks in advance, if anyone needs more info just let me know.
UPDATE: The O/D OFF light is flashing now, i cant turn it on or off and the car stays stuck in 2nd or 3rd even with the battery light on.. I will pull codes asap and post them.
UPDATE: I pulled code, p1562 Manufacture Control
