Default New to Mazda with a Protege5--need help

Newbie here but not to forums. I did a search and did not find what I was looking for.
My wife and I just got an 02 Protege5 for my son and it needs a little work. The main issue I want to fix is with the fog lights. They do not work. I did get one to work (not plugged in) the other is plugged in, but I am not able to figure out how to get the bulb out to check it. What is the easiest way to pull the bulb? Also, there is a sheild covering half of the bulb, is it supposed to be above the bulb or below? I have one of each.

Thanks a lot for all the help.

Dan

i havn't seen a protege 5 but if the fogs are in the bumper you should be able to get at it by going under the bumper and pulling it out from underneth. When pulling the light out if the shield inside is metal its what grounds the bulb and it should just be a clip holding the shield down i hope that helps. if not ill look more into it.
