need a new stereo
My radio/stereo has conked out. My mechanic says all the power to the unit is fine, but doesn't fix stereo issues. I'm fine removing the stereo, but don't know if I need to replace it with something specific. Brand, size, etc.
2003 Mazda Protege ES 2.0
I found this: ‪How to Remove Radio / CD Changer from 2006 Mazda Protege 5 for Repair‬‏ - YouTube
and this: Removing stock radio from 2003 Protege
which seem to explain things pretty well. Any thoughts anyone?
Thanks

go to crutchfield.com and look up your exact model. they will send you any adapter that you may need for a small fee. that is, of course, if you feel like installing it yourself. it's an easy job, really. pulling it is the hard part.

protege 5 stereo
I bought a Kenwood single DIN from Crutchfield and put in myself
with great instructions and harnesses from Crutchfield
I am now researching speakers for the rear doors.
It is thin-mount location for 5 1/4 or 6 1/2. Would love to
hear from someone who has put in their own replacement speakers

replacing rear door speakers in protege 5
Has anyone out there replaced the rear door speakers on a
2003 Protege 5? It appears that it has to be a shallow mount
or component. Please respond if you have installed new speakers
in the rear doors.
Thanks
