Hello !
I have aircondition problem in my mazda with Z5-DE engine.
When i push AC button, nothing happens. Does mazda have some common known failure spots on AC system ?
I havent diagnosed it more, but i will look into it soon.

 

Update: I have checked every AC fuse, they are all OK.
When pushing AC button, compressor does not start to spin. Magnet is not connecting compressor. Is it possible that system has been so dry that it is not starting compressor, and just needs refill ?

 

If you have not already done so. Set the fan speed to 1, then push the AC button and see if it illuminates. They do have a common problem of failing to activate when the fan speed is set above 1 or 2. Get the A/C gas pressure tested. If there is no gas, or low gas the compressor clutch will not engage.
