Hi all new here. I have a 2001 mazda premacy 1.8l. Was given to me buy fatherin law as a run around car. He was told it may need new IAC valve.

issues its doing is.
stalling at idle allot but sometimes fine for days... and also bucking sometimes while driveing.

now yeaterday started ot and it konked out tried again konked out so reved it while starting and it seemed fine bit would not idle at all so quicking brought revs up when i put it in drive.....and away i went with car missing etc....but while trying to accelerate it was lagging something shocking! I had foot flat to floor and it barly hit 3000rmp but took ages lokw i mean ages...and also did not go over 80kph then crept up to 95kph then dropped off again. Took ages to get there then ot was like a switch happened and all was fine again.


other issue was when starting i turn key and can hear a click and thats ot nothing else....try again and nothimg. Lights dont dim etc. Ao i try again and it fires perfect. Has done that a few times now.


i dont know if this is all related to IAC valve or not. Like can a bad IAC valve cause driveing issues or only idle?
