Hi I recently noticed that the idle on my 97 Mazda Protege was running low and the check engine light was on so I had it tested and it showed it was the idle air control valve so I replaced it and reset the computer by disconnecting the battery but right away the idle was still doing the same thing and the check engine light was back on and I had it tested again and it showed the same thing any suggestions the car has 171 thousand miles

 

What was the actual Fault code?

Clean the MAF & throttle body. Reset computer. Start the engine & spray brake clean or water around the intake manifold and intake pipe to check for leaks.

 

​​​​​​Erratic idle goes from 2200 - 1500 runs great replaced the IAC and the MAP sensor waiting for the TBS.
Any thoughts need help
