So... I was at IKEA today, and I loaded a few heavy boxes through the trunk into my 2001 automatic Protege. Got in the car, wouldn't shift out of park. Took apart center console, found a piece to the top right of the shifter that was at the end of the solenoid, was able to shift freely. Now my keys won't come out of the ignition. I am pretty sure the solenoid needs to be replaced, when i stepped on the brake, I didn't hear the click of the solenoid charging. More importantly, though, is there a way to get my keys out????

Any help would be greatly appricated.
