Default Intake Question?

hey guys, i'm just looking for a little help.. I'm looking into buying a short ram intake for my car which is a '97 mazda protege 1.6L DOHC. Now when I went to order the intake the buddy said they only had an intake for a 1.8L DOHC.

Now what I want to know is, will this intake for the 1.8 fit on my 1.6 with no problems?

No, it won't. The 1.8 and 2.0 are interchangeable, but the 1.6 is on it's own from the others.

ah thanks very much, shortly after i made this post i made my own short ram intake haha. it looks great, pics to come.
