how to replace struts on 2000 protege???
I need to replace the struts myself on a 2000 mazda protege? Does anyone had any good advice or instructions on how to do so? I'm running in to some difficulty. Thanks.

First thing, DO NOT remove the center nut on the strut bearing plate without a spring compressor. It is not hard to do with a spring compressor, and an air impact is always nice. Have you ever done struts before? The biggest problem can be the coil spring if not done properly. It can cause serious injury or have deadly consequences.
bkey71 is very right about that center nut on the top. Removal without relieving spring tension will cause an extreme amount of physical discomfort.[:@] What kind of problems are you having with your replacement and are you replacing the fronts, rears, or all?
