hi Gents, Draining my radiator on my 2003 model 323 hatchback. This has the 1.8 liter FP engine. The radiator tanks are plastic. There is a plastic drain plug in the bottom tank. When I checked this yesterday it was not very tight. I easily could unscrew it with an ordinary screwdriver. Question is, when I replace it, should I use some thread tape, or just replace it much the way I found it (i.e. without putting much torque)? Bear in mind it has been secure for the last 20,000 miles and has never leaked. Also will there be an o-ring which has to be replaced?

 

It has a rubber O-ring. I've never replaced the O-ring before, never had one leak. They don't need huge tightness, just nip it up with a screwdriver.
