I just bought a 1995 Protege that has a Mazda security system installed. I am trying to work on the car but the security system sets off the alarm and then won't let me start the car.

There is a switch on the dash that I put in the off position but this doesn't turn off the security system. Is there a way to override the system so that the alarm is turned off and the car will start?

We don't have the remote for the car just a plain old key.
