Default help with audio

Ok, so heres the deal. my cd player went out a while back so i decided to fork over the money and but a new one. After the store finished installing the cd player i had speaker problems. only the rear speakers work, but when i put a cd in, only 1 rear speaker works. What im wondering is. did the installers screw up? or are my speakers blown? also they have a very very muddy tone. HELP!!!

Were all the speakers working good before the old radio went out? If so, I would be suspicious of the install job. Speakers do not just go out sitting idle.

this sounds like the speakers are blown. yet you said its muddy this could be because the bass is turned up to much as well as the internal amp in the cd player is probably to strong especially if the speakers are factory. also you should check to see if there out of phase. this means the positive negatives are flip flopped could be causing some of the distortion. i would take it back to whom installed it and complain imediatly.
