Default Fumoto Valve? Yay or Nay?

Hey All,

I'm looking at putting a Fumoto Valve Qwik Valve (Fumoto Valve | Qwik Valve™) on my 2000 Protege. Anyone have any experience with these oil drain plug replacements?

Thanks!,

I have only heard good things about these, one like Noggin said it saves your pan threads, two its usually MUCH cleaner since your not trying to take the plug off AND not burn yourself wit the oil at the same time. I would get one

Ditto and ditto.
This gadget is particular useful when the oil plug is horizontal and the oil shoots straight back. It seems you can control the flow with this valve.

If I am pushed to find a disadvantage it would be that drain plugs have a magnetic end to collect ferrous metals. I never found much debris on mine.

Finally received the Fumoto Oil Drain Plug, Figured I would provide a picture to what they actually look like.

I will provide thoughts/updates on this after I have a chance to install it, and then general thoughts on it's use.
