hi there. i have a mazda protege 1991 and i need to replace two of my injectors.



i have heard that certain other mazda cars (miata,kia) and ford escorts have similar injectors that i can use in my protege. is this true? the reason i ask is that i am going to a salvage yard or two and will try to grab a few used one (i know this may not work but new injectors are way too much for me to spend)



any other advice is much appreciated on what my options are. its been a great car!

Try e-bay motors for new replacement parts. The advertisers often list other vehicles for the specific part.
Or go to RockAuto.com and look up the parts number. Then check the manufacturer's website if they list other uses.

Get new O-rings when you pull out and replace an injector.
