Front turn singnals don't work

I just bought the car and both front turn signals didn't work so I got new bulbs and replaced both of them even though only the left side was burnt out. What could it be?

Are they working now?

Do you have power & earth at both bulb holders?

Check ground at both front turn signal connectors. Also check hazard lights. A multi-meter would be a great cheap tool to solve this issue (:
