Default Door Lock Actuator

First off, my thanks to this forum for helping me identify a bad Mass Airflow Sensor and getting a repair for a bottom line of 0$'s!!! My next issue to address with my 2000 protege is a bad driver's side door lock actuator. I pulled of the door panel the other day and it looks to me like a couple of phillip screws and a little wrestling into the slot witht the new actuator would solve my problem. Is it really that easy? I just dread that I'll order a new actuator and find that I'll run into some rivets that I can't negotiate. Has anyone replaced these. Is it a good idea for a dilletante like myself to try to save some bucks doing it myself?
