Cruise Control not working Help 1995 Protege
Hi,
I have a 1995 Protege, manual 1.5. The cruise died ~ a month ago while driving with it engaged. I noticed just before it died that the car sped up a bit then the dis-engaged and has not worked since.
The current situation is the light will not light-up on the control panel but the 'cruise' button on the dash lights and engages the vaccum pump under the hood. I hear the pump running and do not think that is the problem. I've googled and binged but I'm have conflicting information on the location of the cruise computer. One says above the fuse box area on the drivers side and the other says in the same place on the passangers side of the car. There must be a fuse which I cannot seem to find and suspect it is in or around the computer module.
I'd like to get this fixed asap if possible. Commuting to/from work used to be my favorite time as I listened to books-on-tape but no more.
The horn works fine, sounds a bit 'sick' but works.
thank for your help in advance.
