What vehicle has the same 1.5 litre motor as my 97 protege?
I would assume a ford?
Just in case I go to a junkyard sometime.

'95 through '98 Mazda Protege.
However, there are bunch of ancillary parts that are also used in other vehicles. Some sensors could be the same in Kia Accent.

You could create a list by using the Interchange numbers you find on E-bay. For example look up the EGR valve for your Mazda on E-bay, get the interchange number and see what other vehicles use this EGR valve.

I don't think any Ford uses this engine.

I never found you Z5 engine in any other car, just mazda
