Default Change water pump on 2000 Protege

I have a 2000 Protege 1.6L automatic 99,000 miles. I noticed that there are drops of anti-freeze at the bottom a pulley. I assume that thats the water pump. I just replaced the radiator and was underneath checking for leaks when I noticed the drip. The drip is very slow. About 1 drip every 20 seconds. I figure I will have to replace the pump soon. Can anyone give me some directions or tips on changing the water pump?

That's a lot of miles (99,000) if you haven't change the water pump, but if you did before, then check the hose(s) connecting to the radiator. Water pumps don't 'drip' every 20 seconds, they just make winding sounds and leak a great deal if they're failing.
From what you're describing, it sounds like the hose clamps need to be tighten. I had the same problem with my Porsche 944 and when I tighten it, it stopped leaking.

I bought the car used at 91,000 miles. I don,t know the history before. I will check the hoses. I would still like some pointers/proceedures on changing the pump. Thanks.
