Default cant get diagnostics to flash ABS light

hello all, nice to meet you.

I am in Ireland and I've bought a 99 323, known as a Protege to you guys I think.

The 'TCS off' and ABS light are stuck on, on the dashboard. I reckon its a wheel sensor, and I'd like the car to tell me which wheel it is.

However, try as I might, I cannot get the ABS light to flash. Have you guys heard of this happening before, any ideas what the problem might be?

I've read that I can measure the ohm resistance of the sensors to determine if they are okay, and I have a multi-meter, however I've never done that before and would like to try get the diagnostics going, before I attempt that.

So yeah, I've grounded the correct pin in the diagnostics terminal and nothing is happening with the asb light.

I had a look at the ABS fuse too, but that seems fine.

regards, thanks for reading.
