Exclamation Camshaft help!!!

Hey guys I'm kind of in a jam here. I am looking for a exhaust camshaft for a 2003 Mazda Protege5 (not Mazda speed version). It has the 2.0L type FS engine. The number of the camshaft is FSD7.

I got a quote from a dealership for $286! I've call junkyards across the US and struck out.

I was wondering if anybody could give me any information of where to find one or if you have modified your protege and no longer need the stock cam anymore.

Also if anybody knows of any other cars that have a camshaft that is compatible with my motor. Or any upgrades that would fit my car.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

i would just go with something like crosworth go after market cause they make cam shafts stock sizes, in the end you will be looking cheaper to cause honestly 286 for a camshaft from a dealer is not that bad... when i modified my focus i paid over $400 for both my intake and exhaust cam shafts.
