Cool Brake Rotors

I want to replace the front rotors & brakes but was wondering if I can knock them (rotors) right off or do I have to remove the big center axel nut to get them off?
Thanks Dudes!!!

You ned to remove the calipers and hang them from the springs with a wire. Never let them dangle from the brake hose, the fitting will leak!
Then the rotor will come right off. If it is rusted to the hub it takes a slight persuasion.

Clean the caliper sliders, take all the rubber sleeves off. The lower one is a tube. Get the rust out of the hole. This rust pushes against the rubber and the rubber pushes against the slider and that keeps the caliper from completely releasing. Use caliper grease on the sliders but don't get any grease on the pads and on the new or resurfaced rotor.
Actually it is quite simple but take your time to do it right. Do one side at a time so you have the other one for a reference.

LOL!
You use more than your Noggin!
You actually do a fair bit of stuff with tools and have real experience in many things.
I do a bit and have my specialties and experiences but not near as much as you!
Yes you are the man! (maybe not a God, but a Goddam real good man!)

Yes, noggin, a perfect car is boring to me. I need something to fix and excuses to buy tools.
