Default RE: brake problem

Have any rear brake or taillight bulbs been replaced recently?? It is hard to do but have seen an incorrect 1156 single element bulb installed in place of a dual element 1157 bulb. Might want to check and make sure this is not the case. Take one bulb out of the tail lights as a time and try the lights each time. When everything goes back to normal after removal of one of the bulbs, you will have probably found the culprit.
If you look inside the socket of removed light bulb you will either see one or two metal contact buttons inside at the bottom of the socket. Make sure that your bulb has a corresponding number of contacts.
