bp10 or bp26 for ecu

Default bp10 or bp26 for ecu

Hi i need help. i got a 1992 mazda 323 with a BP engine (1.8 DOHC) recently put a IHI VJ20 turbo and the air intake manifold from 323gtx . can i run this with my bp 10 ecu or i absolutely need the bp 26 ecu from the gtx

The BP10 ECM is tuned or programed to run timing advance for non turbo. A turbocharged motor needs less ignition timing under boost. If you run too much timing advance on a turbo motor you risk damaging the motor with detonation.
