Hello all,
Lady and new to the site.My 99 proteges front drivers window won't go up or down.The motor still runs but the window won't go.Do I need to buy the motor and reg or just the reg?Also,I have done other diy projects before,is it possible to do this myself(finances are tight)?

 

you could do it yourself with a little time, patience, and a couple of tools. should just be the regulator if the motor is still turning freely, but there is a chance that the motor is bad also. take the door panel off and push the window up/down buttons to see if the motor turns, but is disconnected. from my experience, the regulator is a piece of crap from 99-03.5, so the odds are that it is just the reg.
