I have 105,000 miles on my Protege and I am starting to have a problem. While cruising on the highway the dash lights flicker slightly and the automatic transmission downshifts from overdrive for no reason. Then shifts right back up and does it over and over. It's possible that it's only happening when it's raining, but it's hard to tell because it's been raining all week here, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I know that downshifting is normal during acceleration, but this is happening while cruising at a constant speed(even with cruise control).
