Default 5 speed question
I am looking for a 5 speed for a 2000 Protege. What years did mazda use the tranny? What year Protege's can I find the trans I need?

I have a '99 SE/DX 1.8L FP engine, 5 spd. I have the shop manual for it and it's good for the 2000 as well, so it seems that a '99 transmission would be OK for a 2000 with the same engine.

99-03 works. I got one at junk yard for $600
