I tried doing a search as well and came up with nothing. This could be a universal part that you can tinker around with, but i've never messed around with such a modification.

Greddy is a real company. Not sure what he means by an "intercooler chip upgrade", the intercooler is on top of the motor and serves to cool the intake air charge to the motor. No chips involved. Now he may mean he has a performance chip in his ECM (that controls fuel/air mixture), but to my knowledge the standard Mazda6 computer really can't be tuned and you have to go to either a piggyback computer or a stand-alone to tune the engine to maximize specific upgrades.

If I ran a sspeed6 I probably could see getting a greddy intercooler upgrade, and an HKS ECU performance chip combined with a boost controller. The boost controller would give you more boost, and the ECU chip would tell the ECU that there is supposed to be more power and that higher boost in mormal. So that it doesn't throw out CELs trying to get the car to stock spec (which it would do). You should'nt need much more power than that and it'd be a beast. Then go wheel and tire upgrade, you'd be set. It'd be an easy set of mods to do too and a good base platfomr to work with. Good luck with veeryhting you want to do.

i think i'd bet $$ that this is the guy from MySpace.....if so, he's a moron, stay away! He changes his mind all the time with what has been done to the car, and doesn't back anything up.

if i'm wrong, please move along and ignore my comment.

You know when the Greddy website itself does not list a kit for the Mazda Speed 6, It is pretty shady. Even if this guy has a legitimate intercooler from Greddy, he had to jimmy rig it on there. You are probably buying a mess of duct tape and chicken wire.

Besides everyone knows, real buyers don't pay for upgrades... So all these mods, worth nothing in the price of the car.

that's called a GReddy FMIC (front mounted intercooler) and if that's all he can do to escribe it, he's not a car guy and he probably has no idea what it does. And in most cases yes, GReddy paints their logo on the intercooler which sites behind the lower grille opening so you would be able to read it. don't order anyhting FROM him, just go to official websites or official forum vendors and sponsors.
