Unhappy 2003 Mazda Protege code p0767

Hello, i recently picked up an 02 Protoge DX and it wont go into OD or 3rd, Code reader says p0767 solenoid D stuck ON with no OD light on...Im trying to get Solenoid D off to clean it/replace it but i cant seem to figure out how to get it off. All the videos i find are for the smaller solenoids. Any ideas? Much appreciated.

Not sure I follow. You found it under the pan but can't remove it? The vids I saw appear that the C,D,E solenoids are mounted using a single plate so all retainig bolts need to come out. The A, B, Line pressure have indivudual retaining bolts.

But then perhaps you've worked it out by now.
