Default 2002 Mazda Protege LX Modding

Hey Guys I just got a 2002 Mazda Protege LX. Its basically brand new, 35,000 miles on it. its a great car, but it lags a bit. I need to know what kind of stuff to do to it. All I;ve done to it is put in a Sony Xplod radio and a custom muffler. im thinkin about headers but i know they pop a catalytic converter code. i know about the non-fouler trick so that shouldnt be a problem. What else should i do to it to boost performance??

and what about turbo?? does it really give it that much of a boost??

well the radio will do nothing for performance . the muffler just makes it sound different, (is it a fart can?) with cold air induction, intake manifold, header, (not plural), and exhaust, you might be looking at 140-150 horse power. automatic transmissions and turbos do not mix... unless you have the transmission built up to handle the turbo... $$$$
