Exclamation 2001 Protege Clutch Pedal

Hello! I have come to this site many times for my mazda repair. This time I have a question: I have a 2001 Protege with a 5-speed. It has about 80,000 miles on it. The problem is, I push the clutch to the floor and then release, it engages the clutch after about one to two inches. Is there a adjustment you can make so it doesn't engage so soon? I checked the fluid in the master cylinder and it is fine. Maybe there is a rod or throw adjustment? Any help at all woud be great, thanks!
