Default 2000 Protege CAM sensor

Hi Guys,

On a recent post I described the stalling/starting issues, and seems to be cam/crank angle sensor from most advice. I'm going to change the part over myself as it's location right on top of the engine is easy access, one bolt and one plug.. anyone have any advice before I do the change over? Disconnect battery?

Thanks in advance

Straight swap, just make sure key is off.

Thanks for that. I'm still waiting on the part as they sent the wrong one at first. I gave it a trial run uninstalling the old part, but when I go to unplug it, the two connectors just wont budge and I don't wanna break any of the wiring looms by just ripping... Looking at the plug I can't see any little lips that I need to lift up before they slide apart... Below is a picture of the part, to give U a bit of an idea.. any ideas?
