1999 Mazda Front Struts
#2
Get it lowered. Stock height is *** for handling. The car will love you for it and you will too.
Ive always jacked the car up, removed the struts and drop them into pedders to reassemble with new parts using only my top caps. Costs about $75 for them to do the assembly on top of the cost of the parts so I get them to put lowered springs in to suit their struts. Usual cost is 1500 but they always give me discounts so I get it for $1300. If you want them to do the supply and fit its like $2800.
Or just buy new struts, remove yours, drop it to pedders and get them to use your existing springs and have them reassemble it.
You could also look at a set of ebay coil overs for these cars. The springs are stiff as **** but if you looking for a fully assembled kit you can just throw into your car for cheap you can get them for 460 for full set so all u have to do is remove yours and install theirs.
I personally dont like the ebay coilovers because the springs are stiff as **** but the plus side is you can load the car up with a full load and your tyres wont scrape on your fenders cause it wont move lol. Handling though is awesome on corners as long as the road is smooth. Soon as there are bumps it turns into a back breaker.
This is a picture of my Astina on ebay coilovers that I recently swapped for a SP20.
