Default 1996 DX Protege engine lacks power and misses

Hi All,
Thanks for any help you can give me. I am a newbie here trying to figure out why my Mazda DX with 1.5 liter 4 cylinder and the engine is stumbling and lacking power. It seems like a cylinder is missing.
The check engine light diagnostic shows code P0303 or misfire on cylinder 3.
I have checked spark by taking out the plugs and test them one by one by pulling each one and placing back in the wire and spin the engine over next to a grounded part of the engine. The spark looked like yellow/orange.
I also swapped #3 and #1 injectors and have the same results.
What would be next as far as troubleshooting?
How do I further troubleshoot the ignition coil?

Thanks!
Scott

thanks but I checked and there is a strong spark. It even jumps through the insulation to ground when I pull the boot but I will check what you said. How do I ohm it out?
