i hope someone can help me. my daughter has a 94 protege 1.8 automatic. when it got warm it would stall and would not restart until cooled down. you can hear the fuelpump relay click and the car would die. i replaced the relay. now the car starts and runs for a few seconds and dies.it will not stay running at all .it has 97k on it.the timing belt was changed at 75k and has a recent tune up. any one have any ideas...thanks alot

While I was working on my own 1994 Mazda Protege this happened to me after I was finished working on it. It turned out that I forgot to re-attach the air by-pass
hose to the air box. One detached hose and one heck of a big problem. In your case
I would recommend checking the easy stuff first before checking the fuel pressure and fuel injectors, for example the engine coolent
temperature sensor and air flow meter for proper resistance. Out of curosity, how long did the car run before it stalled the first time? How warm did it get?
