Default '01 Protege P 0102, P0103, etc.

Hi Mazda Enthusiasts,

Please help. Just picked up a 2001 Protege 2.0 L manual 5 speed. Cute little car. Originally bought it for "parts" even though it ran. Now I wonder if I can resurrect it for my kids to drive.

Car starts and idles just fine. When driving, it hesitates and loses power. When in neutral, press the gas and can feel a "chug" before it revs. Here is what I did: replaced plugs. cleaned MAF sensor with MAF cleaner. Replaced hose from MAF to intake. New wires.

Here are the codes that the reader is putting out: P0102,P0103, P0123, P1569.

I think we could disregard the last one because it is a cruise control issue. But could this be a throttle sensor issue?

I don't want to spend $200 on a new MAF sensor if that won't fix the problem.
Thanks for you help.
J

One other quick thing I remembered, only because I haven't seen it in a while, look at the branding on the MAF. For a while, at least around my neck of the woods, there was an aftermarket MAF sensor being sold as a replacement for Mazda that had TOYOTA stamped in it. I don't know why, but that TOYOTA sensor just p!ssed that little engine off.
