the O/D button was not pressing in, so thinking this would be easy- i removed the shifter ****- two screws and off. Now- I cannot get the shift locker to depress the plunger, the gears shift freely, and the key will not come out of the ignition. something must've broken off, or something needs to be reset? I pulled fuses, disconnected battery, nothing. it seems like the key/ ignition is not getting a signal that the shifter is in Park.
Any help appreciated- i would like to avoid taking it to the stealer.
