Default $98 worth of plastic, please help

Hello,

I have a 2002 Protege ES with power windows. The window regulator has a little yellow piece of plastic that sits at the top of the assembly and guides the cable; it broke in half and my driver-side window fell down. I called the dealership and they informed me that I can not get the little yellow piece, but I can however buy the entire assembly for $98.00 (so I'll have a spare metal bracket, metal cable, and metal gear assembly in case those ever break). I called several auto parts stores and they can not order the part, just the assembly. The salvage yards say if they get a straight door, then everything goes with it. Any help or information will be appreciated.

Thanks,
tank

Sounds like you may be stuck having to buy the assembly. There is one other possibility. If the piece is still in good condition but just broke in half you might be able to use some JB Weld to repair it. I have used this stuff in the past to fix many parts of an automobile with good results.
